Split PDF

Choose the pages you need from one PDF and save them as a single new document. Keep a useful section without sending the entire file.

PDF files are processed in your browser, without being uploaded to a server.
HOW IT WORKS

How to split

Extract a chapter, a set of handouts, or a few reference pages from a longer PDF. Open one document and choose the pages to include in one new PDF. This tool does not create a separate file for every page or bundle files into a ZIP archive.

01

Choose one source PDF

Select a PDF no larger than 25MB and no longer than 200 pages. Once the previews appear, find the first and last pages of the section you need.

02

Select the pages to keep

Select the pages for your new document. Printed page numbers can differ from a page's position in the PDF, so check the preview content as well as its number.

03

Save the selected pages

Keep at least one page selected and download the result. The output is one PDF containing your chosen pages. Your source document remains unchanged.

Take just the part you need

Save a chapter from a handbook, a specific table from meeting materials, or selected exercises from a study guide. Consider including the heading and any explanatory pages that make the section understandable. A table on its own may lose useful context.

Printed numbers may not match PDF positions

A document with a cover and a contents page might show printed page 1 on its third PDF page. Numbers in this tool describe positions counted from the start of the file. Check the actual page content before extracting it to avoid choosing the wrong section.

Extraction is not redaction

Unselected pages are left out of the new document. This does not find and remove names, contact details, hidden information, or document metadata from the pages you keep. Review sensitive documents yourself before sharing. Text editing, redaction, and OCR are not included.

A LITTLE HELP

Frequently asked questions

Can I download every page as a separate file?+

The current tool extracts selected pages into one PDF. It does not create multiple individual PDFs or a ZIP archive in one operation. For separate files, make a different selection and download each result individually.

Why does page 5 in the preview show a different number?+

Covers and contents pages can shift printed page numbers. The preview number counts from the first page of the PDF file. Check the heading or body content before choosing a page.

What happens if no pages are selected?+

An empty PDF cannot be exported. Select at least one page to include before downloading.

What are the file limits?+

Split works with one PDF at a time, up to 25MB and 200 pages. Documents with large images may take longer or fail if your device runs out of memory.

Are bookmarks and digital signatures preserved?+

This is a page editing tool. Preservation of bookmarks, internal links, embedded attachments, and digital signature validity is not guaranteed. Encrypted PDFs and PDFs containing form fields are not supported.
